Metadata Administration: Beyond the Basics

Training is conducted through a web-hosted lab environment. Each attendee will be given access to their own virtualized environment to follow along in the software. It is highly recommended that attendees have two screens so they can view both their virtualized environment and the instructor's screen at the same time. Login credentials and instructions will be communicated via email to each attendee prior to the training.

Dive into metadata! Metadata templates and fields allow you to easily categorize documents, improve searchability, and empower automation.

During this hands-on training, you’ll see how to power up existing templates using new metadata enhancements and learn how to use administrative features to do more with metadata. You'll gain valuable insights for how to build user-friendly, intuitive metadata templates to categorize documents in Laserfiche while paving the way for future enhancements. In this session, you will learn how to: 

• Enhance templates with new metadata features like checkbox and radio button fields, table view for multi-value field groups, options to dynamically show and hide fields and more!
• Simplify metadata entry with field formulas to perform logic, date, and math calculations
• Leverage constraints, field security, and dynamic fields to simplify end user interactions with templates
• Identify when to use additional metadata tools, such as tags and links

This is a beginner to intermediate class! The target audience has knowledge of metadata and the Laserfiche repository, but may not be familiar with additional metadata features. Some items, like templates, fields, and groups, may be pre-configured to allow for more time diving into intermediate topics.

The materials presented in this course are applicable to Laserfiche Cloud and self-hosted.

Cancellation Policy

In the event you cannot attend a training class, please contact us at events@laserfiche.com at least three business days prior to the class start date. Note Laserfiche is not open on weekends.

Cancelling at least three business days before class start: If you cancel your class registration at least three business days prior to the start of the class you may receive a full refund or credit for another class of equal or lesser value at a later date.

Cancelling less than three business days before class start: Unfortunately, no refunds, exchanges, or credits will be allowed if you cancel your class registration less than three business days before the start of class.

Cancellation by Laserfiche: Laserfiche reserves the right to cancel a training class for any reason. If Laserfiche cancels a training class, you will receive full credit for another class of equal or lesser value at a later date.
